What is a Public Adjuster?

Basically, a public adjuster and a private adjuster have the same goals: to get your claim processed expediently. A public adjuster works for the policyholder (you), while an independent (private) adjuster is hired by your insurance company to manage the claim. Both do the same thing – they survey the damage, bring in a contractor to make recommendations on the fixes needed, and interview the property owner (usually a recorded conversation for their records).
